Cross del Calvari de Benidorm 15/03/2010
El centro de Benidorm se ha llenado con más de 1.200 atletas con motivo de la celebración del Cross del Calvari esta mañana. Esta prueba organizada por la Festa el Calvari ha contado con la asistencia del alcalde de Benidorm, Agustín Navarro, el concejal de Deportes, Juan Ramón Martínez.

La participación se ha distribuido en las distintas categorías: benjamín, alevín, infantil, cadete, senior y veteranos, los cuales han recorrido las calles del centro de Benidorm en las categorías inferiores y un circuito más amplio que recorría las playas y las avenidas de la ciudad en la categoría senior.

El cross ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración del Club Atletismo de Benidorm en su faceta técnica y de organización. Además, la prueba ha contado con el patrocinio del Ayuntamiento de Benidorm, a través de las Concejalías de Deportes, Seguridad y Movilidad y Escena Urbana, Patronato de Turismo Costa Blanca, Protección Civil, Cruz Roja y Grupo Scout Horizontes.

En el mismo acto se ha entregado los ‘Trofeos Diego Cano Enguera’ al deportista y a la persona o entidad festera más destacada durante el año 2009 y que ha recaído en el atleta de lanzamiento de disco y peso, José Javier Rozalen y el maestro xirimiter Francisco Jesús María Romero.
